Blueberry Smoothies


Smoothies can be a great breakfast when you're in a rush. Measure the ingredients the night before and have the blender ready on the kitchen counter so that you'll have no reason to skip breakfast.

¾ cup fresh or frozen unsweetened blueberries
¾ cup nonfat milk or original soy milk
2 Tablespoons of instant nonfat milk powder or unsweetened soy protein powder
¼ tsp lemon extract
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8th teaspoon cinnamon

  • Mix all ingredients in a blender with 2 ice cubes until smooth

Makes 1 serving. Each serving counts as 1 fruit and 1 high calcium food serving.
